It’s time for another book tag! Thank you to Nina from By Page or By Plane for tagging me to do this 🙂
BEST BOOK YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2016
It’s really hard to choose one! But I managed to do so and it’s The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout. She is one of my favourite contemporary author and this book did not disappoint. Click here for my review of the book.
BEST SEQUEL YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2016
Coast by Jay McLean. It is the second (and last) book of her Kick, Push series. She is another of my favourite contemporary author and the first book was brilliant so Coast was one of my most awaited 2016 release. The book wraps up the story of Becca and Josh perfectly. Here’s a full review of the book if you want to check it out!
NEW RELEASE YOU HAVEN’T READ YET, BUT WANT TO
It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover. I’ve read so many good reviews about the book and it seems like it’s another heavy book that Colleen Hoover is known for. I promised myself that once I’ve finished all the books I haven’t finished reading yet, I’ll get myself a copy of this.
MOST ANTICIPATED RELEASE FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE YEAR
I have a few books that I really really really cannot wait to be released.
1. The Goal by Elle Kennedy
The fourth book in her Off-Campus series is a must read for me because that cliffhanger in the last book, The Score, is too intriguing and I can’t wait to see what happened.
2. A Million World Without You by Claudia Gray
The third book in the Firebird series is another book that I have to read because the last book, Ten Thousand Skies Above You unexpectedly ended in cliffhanger and she surprised us with this last book.
(Anyone else dislike cliffhangers? I hate not knowing)
3. Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
I mean, who doesn’t want to continue reading Aelin’s badassery?
4. Royally Screwed by Emma Chase
I love royal romance story and Emma Chase is hilarious. I love her Tangled series! I believe that this one will also be hilarious and I don’t think I’ve read many hilarious royal romance.
(Sorry, that’s a list of books 🙈 because I can’t choose!)
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT
The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan. Like I mentioned before, I love royal romance and I was very excited to read this book. However, while certain parts are hilarious, it is just an okay book for me.
BIGGEST SURPRISE
Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. The book is so hyped and everyone I know who read it loved it. But I was worried that it is just another overhyped dystopian book but oh boy I was wrong. The moment I start reading I can’t stop and finished the whole series in like a week. What a book!
FAVOURITE NEW AUTHOR (DEBUT OR TO YOU)
Sarah J. Maas! She has ways with words, especially in describing the settings in the story. It makes the reading experience more enjoyable.
NEWEST FICTIONAL CRUSH
Maybe, Rowan? Although I have to say that I haven’t completely fallen in love with him. (Some of you are probably wondering how the hell is that possible because almost everyone I know is in love with him)
NEWEST FAVOURITE CHARACTER
Aelin Galathynius. She is also probably my favourite dystopian-book female character because urgh she’s just so badass. She’s not perfect, but I admire her for a lot of things.
BOOK THAT MADE YOU CRY
Only one book made me sob this year and it is Some Kind of Perfect by Krista and Becca Ritchie. The last book in their Addicted/Calloway Sisters series, it was an emotional roller coaster. Maybe because I’m attached to these characters and you read them grow. We first met them as university students in the book and in this last book, they are parents. The dynamic between them and their children just warmed my heart.
BOOK THAT MADE YOU HAPPY
I recently re-read the Anna and the French Kiss series and they still make me so giddy!
FAVOURITE BOOK TO FILM ADAPTATION
I can’t answer this one because from the film adaptation I’ve watched, I haven’t read the book yet 🙁
FAVOURITE POST YOU HAVE DONE THIS YEAR
Probably all the tags I did. It’s fun to look back at all the books you’ve read and sometimes you get to discover old books that you read and loved so much at one point but haven’t read in a while. So yeah, the tags.
MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOK YOU’VE BOUGHT THIS YEAR
The Summer Games series by R.S Grey. Both books came out this year and both of their covers are so pretty. I really like the splash of colours on it.
WHAT BOOK DO YOU NEED TO READ BY THE END OF THE YEAR
Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan. I forgot that I purchased the book on my Kindle last year! How that happened, I don’t know. But now I’m super excited to start reading it because I’ve been interested in Norse Gods lately.
I nominate:
And anyone else who wants to do the tag! 🙂

I love your books!! (I’m looking at The Goal, the R.S. Grey ones, and Empire of Storms) I have so many books here on my TBR and now that I’ve seen them again I’m itching to read the books. Where to find the time though, haha.

The R.S Grey ones are quite fast reads but I agree with you,I need more time for books!

I feel the same way about all the Throne of Glass stuff. I love, love, LOVE that series so much! I’m super pumped for Empire of Storms. I also want to get around to some Colleen Hoover, because to my eternal shame I still haven’t read anything by her. Great post!

So glad I ignore my skepticism and read the book. Probably one of the best dystopian series I’ve read. Go read some Colleen Hoover! I was also not sure about her books because, again, everyone loves every single one of her books but they are really great and thank youu! x
