Out of Bounds by R.S. Grey – Book Review

If you read and enjoyed the first book in the series, ‘Settling the Score’, I’m pretty sure you will love this book! (You can read this as a standalone even though I’d recommend to read the first book as well ;))

Brie Watson is the Cinderella of the USA Gymnastic team. Growing up with a single mother, Brie knows how hard it has been for her mother to raise her and all she wanted is to win the Olympics and pay gives everything for her mother. She went to Seattle to practice with her teammates with the new coach, Erik Winter. From their first meeting, Erik always manages to push Brie’s button. Every opportunity he has, he always tries to pick a fight with Brie.

Erik Winter is the son of the previous coach. He is an ex-gymnast whose career ended ten years ago right before the Olympics. No one knew why he retired from the gymnastics world. Erik’s goal is to prove everyone that he is the right person to be the coach and he can lead the US Gymnastics team to victory. He wanted to stay focus on coaching these girls but it was proven to be hard since one of his gymnasts keep pushing his buttons.

Sparks are flying between the two of them since the very beginning. They both constantly have to remind themselves of the nature of their relationship that is of a coach and a gymnast. But with the sexual tension that thick, sometimes it’s just hard to stop themselves.

Brie is undoubtedly a very hard working character and someone you will want to root for. I admire her strength and her determination to win the Olympics and how much love she has for her mother. However, she can be stubborn and immature at times. There were instances where I wished she could handle the situation a lot better. Even though it makes things more fun and interesting *evil laugh*.

Erik takes the term asshole to whole other level. He is the perfect one even though admittedly, he could be too much. I understand that he tried to be professional but he often crosses the line when he tries to draw the line between him and Brie. Although I have to admit that when his other side comes out, he won me over. He can be sweet, thoughtful, and a gentleman.

The dynamic between the two is insane and sooooo hot it’s ridiculous. Everything between them is so intense! Though their bickering is probably my favourite thing ever. All in all, their relationship is damn entertaining.

This newest sports romance book from R.S. Grey is sizzling hot. From the first word to the last, it was gripping and intense. It is a lot steamier than I thought it would be. Pretty sure I was left blushing after reading certain scenes in the book. It is definitely R.S. Grey’s steamiest book yet. With a well-developed storyline, great characters, and witty banters and interactions between the characters, Out of Bounds is definitely a must-read for any sport romance books fans!
