November 9 by Colleen Hoover – Book Review

Having read Colleen Hoover works before, I have high expectations of the book and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

The synopsis intrigued me because the two only meet on the same date every year. I was curious how would that work and how it would affect their relationship. Fallon is such a delight. I love how sassy she is, even though I sometimes want to shake her and tell her how great she is when she got insecure. Ben is really sweet and has a way with words – no surprise there since he wants to be a writer. I could feel the honesty in his words whenever he assured Fallon that she is beautiful and that she should be proud of herself. Some of my favourite lines in the book are Ben’s lines.

The book is another roller coaster journey for me. I laughed, I cried, and I was really frustrated at some parts of the book. There were a lot of instances where the two could just get together and live happily ever after but they keep come up with all these reasons that I feel like is there to prolong the book. They are so emotionally connected yet they keep found reasons why they could not be together and it’s so frustrating. The plot twist in the book didn’t really surprise me since I had a hunch of what it might be, but the way Colleen wrote it made it all more heart breaking.

Overall, it’s a beautiful book. It’s filled with humor, friendship, passion, and love that will pull you right into Fallon and Ben’s world.
