Time flies and it’s already the end of March! This month, I decided to do a little March wrap-up, which also is kind of a monthly favourite post. I’m going to go through all the things I love or been loving this month so here we go!
Books
First, I’m going to talk about books. I haven’t actually had the time to read as many books as I want to. Also I got into a little reading slump at the beginning of this month. I learned that one way to get out of reading slumps is by reading sort of cheesy YA/NA books. I managed to get out of it by reading two books by Kasie West. She is one of my favourite young adult authors and the books that I read were P.S I Like You and By Your Side. I really enjoyed the books. They are not super emotional or gripping in any way, but both are easy and adorable reads about high school relationships.
Moving on from young adults, I also got to read Fire in You by J.Lynn or Jennifer L. Armentrout (a.k.a another favourite author of mine!). It’s the sixth book in the Wait for You series, which is one of my favourite New Adult series. It’s a friends-to-lover new adult stories and I always love a good one. Full review on this book will be up so don’t worry 😉
Music
This month I’ve been listening to the same albums and songs over and over again. The first album is Divide by Ed Sheeran. I think everyone listens to the albums. I was super excited about it. I love Ed Sheeran’s music so I’ve been waiting for his music since he was on hiatus for a year. SO GLAD HE’S BACK! I have to say that I now find the first two singles Castle on the Hills and Shape of You a bit overplayed. Like, I turn on the radio, they are on. I went to shopping malls, they play these two songs. They are just everywhere. My favourite songs off the album is Supermarket Flowers (I always get teary-eyed every time I listen to it), Perfect, Nancy Mulligan, and Dive. Though the rest of the album is absolutely amazing.
The second album I’ve been listening to is So Good by Zara Larsson. I’ve been waiting for this album as well. I love Zara Larsson so much; I think she has an amazing voice. The sound of this album is very different from her previous album, 1. But I love it regardless. My favourite song in the album is Funeral, Don’t Let Me Be Yours (which was also written by Ed Sheeran), Can’t Fall In Love Without You, and One Mississippi.
The other songs I’ve been loving is The Other by Lauv, Hotter than Hell by Dua Lipa (can’t wait for her album to come out!), Alarm and Ciao Adios by Anne Marie, and Shawn Mendes’ album, Illuminate. I still listen to that album though it came out last year. IT’S JUST SO BLOODY GOOD.
Films & TV Shows
I didn’t watch many movies this month. I actually only watch one which is Beauty and the Beast. I loved it! There are a few things I don’t really like, but overall it’s great. I mean it’s Disney, it’s Belle, nothing could really go wrong. Plus, I love the library. I wish I can stay there.
I may not watch many movies this month, but I do watch a few TV shows; The Crown, Victoria, and SKAM. I talked about it all in this 100 words or less posts. On top of the ones I mentioned, I already have TV shows waiting to be watched. Other than the shows I mentioned in my post, I just recently found another TV show I wanted to watch and it’s Quantico. I love drama thriller shows. I saw two episodes of the show and it looks intriguing. Also, I just remembered that Thirteen Reasons Why is coming out and I’m so excited for it! I really loved the book and I hope that the show will not disappoint.
Beauty
Now onto a topic I’ve never talked about on the blog before; BEAUTY. Something that you might now know is that I’m also a big beauty junkie. My mum always shakes her head every time she walks into my room and looks at my books and beauty products just laying around the room.
My beauty favourites this month are the CLINIQUE Chubby Sticks. I have the Chubby in the Nude Foundation Stick, Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm, Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour, and Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight. I BLOODY LOVE THESE CHUBBY STICKS. I always love the idea of stick makeup products because they don’t take as much space in makeup bag and they are very easy to use. These chubby sticks are all just very easy to apply; I can just use my fingers to blend them and they are also very convenient to bring around. It’s definitely a must have products during travelling for me.
And that’s all I’ve got for my March wrap up! This is my first attempt in writing a wrap-up post and I feel that it’s a little rusty. Also, I think I’m going to try doing more wrap up posts in the future because I actually quite enjoy doing a summary of everything I love this month. In April, my goal is to post more contents on the blog – both bookish and non-bookish so keep an eye on that!
I hope you enjoy reading this super long post I have, probably the longest post I have written on Sweater Weather. Let me know how’s your March and what you’re looking forward to in April!
xo,
Naths
